Angie Brown and Geoff Brown have retained their leading positions after the second Senior Team England Trial last weekend in Guildford.
The trial at Guildford was won by Paul Cosgrove in the men’s section, and Sandra Boswell in the ladies’ section.
Angie and Geoff won the first trial held at Bowlplex Poole in June, and on combined points over the two events remain in the lead. The third and final trial will be held at Stroud Bowl in October. Points from the best two trials for each player will determine their final placing, with the top 10 in each section being invited to be part of the Senior Team England squad for 2020.
Players are competing for places in the first ever European Senior Championship to be held in Vienna in January 2020, and the Senior Triple Crown which takes place in Dublin in April 2020.
