ETBF to trial new TenpinCam Competition

Dear friends. In this crazy times when all sports are suffering for not having any championships, ETBF decided to support a Latvian proposal for a tournament for young athletes where no traveling is necessary. If we cannot meet and compete in person, let us grab the opportunity the technology is offering us.

Here is the letter to all ETBF federations:

Dear ETBF federations,

The Latvian Bowling Federation is proud to announce the first official Youth LiveCam tournament.
ETBF Presidium recently agreed to support the initiative of the Latvian Bowling Federation and their partner TenPinCam to organise a test event for a Live Cam bowling tournament in July 2021 (exact dates to be announced later). After the results of this test will be analysed by the ETBF Presidium, it will decide about the recognition of the event.

The tournament will be arranged, based on the TenPinCam technology:

• Bowlers will play from their home centres.
• The game will be registered in the TenPinCam app using the web cameras, installed on the
lanes.

Even though this is something new to us, we are willing to go with a 3-day singles test event for junior athletes of 21st years and under.

The Latvian Bowling Federation is looking for 16 federations, with 2 boys and 2 girls that there willing to participate.

Format:
16 federations (2 boys and 2 girls)
32 boys and 32 girls in total.
Each gender is divided (by draw) into two groups as the brackets below. Only one athlete per federation per group/gender

Best of 3 games

Entry fee 100 euro per federation

ETBF medals to 1st and 2nd place for boys and girls

To be able to participate in the Tournament, the federations willing to join should ensure they have a bowling centre, equipped by TenPinCam.
