With this tournament victory he is the only player in the MTBA history to have won the Silver and the Bronze cup. As well being the youngest player at the age of 10 to do so. Taking the girls top spot was 20 year old Tiffany Camilleri.

The Bronze cup was played over two days and a total of 40 local players took part in the tournament organized by the MTBA. Kayden bowled a 175 scratch in the qualification round on Saturday and during the round robin on Sunday, he only lost one match out of 5 to pinch first place by one pin!

Thanks to Coach Voglesang were were able to Ask champions Kayden and Tiffany a few questions after their wins

Kayden Lagana

Congratulations on your win, how much work went into this result for you?

I put a lot of work in training for this moment.

What goals do you have in the sport?

I wish to be the best player in Europe and be a PBA bowler

Why have you found you enjoy bowling so much?

Because since I was little I liked to play it with plastic pins at home and then tried at the bowling alley and never looked back it gives me satisfaction when I see the pins falls.

If you could pick one bowler in the World to play with who would it be?

I wish to play with the champion of the world Jason Belmonte!

Tiffany Camilleri

Congratulations on your win, how much work went into this result for you?

After around 6 years, I decided to start my career in bowling once again. I have been training once a weekly with my coach, Rick Vogelesang for a few months now and together we have been working on improving my technique overall. Over the span of just a few months, I can say that my game has improved greatly – and it is for this reason that I have managed to reward myself with a winning title in the competition.

What goals do you have in the sport?

The more time I spend training and competing, the more passionate I become about bowling. My goal at this point is to keep on improving my game until I feel ready to start representing my country abroad.

Why have you found you enjoy bowling so much?

Bowling has always been a part of my family, since my father introduced me to the sport at a very young age. So for me, this sport has significant value. Apart from that, I love the rush of emotions while playing a game, and the mere challenge of playing to improve myself. I always strive to keep concentrated and determined to reach my goals.

If you could pick one bowler in the World to play with who would it be?
Honestly if I had to pick one player, it would be Sue Abela. To me, she is the kind of player who worked very hard to get to where she is today. The inclination she has to not only improve her own game, but to also share her knowledge to others, is truly something to admire.
