This year’s addition to our Vintage series is the Inferno. The Vintage Inferno combines the Inferno Low RG core with our re-engineered Activator 2.0 coverstock to provide the same “Inferno” look and ball motion on today’s lane conditions.
COVERSTOCK
The new Activator 2.0 coverstock is Brunswick’s modern version of original Activator. Activator 2.0 combines our re-engineered “Activator” base coverstock with a chemical supplement package for today’s conditions. Combined with the Vintage Inferno low RG core the Inferno will provide the same look and ball motion that you had years ago but on today’s slicker oil conditions!
DRILLING
The Vintage Inferno can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for symmetric core bowling balls.
LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINEERING
At Brunswick, the unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.
