When you look back into the history of UK bowling, there are a few names that start to jump out at you from the very early days. One name is Jim Brewer. Players of today know that name from the tournament at Poole that carries his name, but how much do people really know about him? It actually seemed a little sad to find that someone who has his own memorial event has very little history to be found so that now changes with this article recovered from August 1967.
